These are visits with your doctor that can be conducted over the computer safely and don’t require that you come into the office. They are only available for established patients (you must have visited me in my office at least once prior to using this service). They can be used for new or existing problems, which, in my opinion, don’t require face to face care. Examples are: routine follow up on cholesterol or thyroid problems, uncomplicated sinus or urinary tract infections. They are NOT SUITABLE for severe issues such as trouble breathing, severe bleeding, chest pain that you think might be a heart attack (Call 911 now for any of these issues!). Of course, if you prefer to come into the office instead of conducting a virtual visit, simply click here to make your same day or future appointment instead. I usually will reply to a completed virtual visit that you have sent in by 2-4 hours, though it may take longer over weekends/holiday.

PAYMENT FOR VIRTUAL VISITS

Right now in RI, your insurance company doesn’t pay for these visits, although in many parts of the country this service is covered by insurances. The charge for a virtual visit is $25, payable through a secure credit card processing site prior to starting the visit. If I review your virtual visit and think you should come in, I’ll apply your on-line payment to your co-pay. 

HOW TO MAKE A VIRTUAL VISIT

1.  Please click on the link below which will take you to a Paypal site where you may pay for your virtual visit using a credit card.
2.  After your payment has been received, the payment site will redirect you a web page where you can enter your identifying and contact information and the problem that you wish to address in your virtual visit. You'll then answer a questionnaire specific to your identified problem.  At the end of the questionnaire, you'll have the opportunity to review the output of questionnaire and to add other clarifying information as regards your condition that you would like me to have, as well as to enter your pharmacy data. 
3. You will then be contacted by Dr. Ho, usually via email but possibly via phone, as to treatment/ follow up suggestions for your medical issues.  Return contact typically will occur within a few hours (possibly longer on weekends and holidays).
